When looking for places to stay in Berlin, Ohio, you’ll find there is quite a variety of hotels, guest houses, and cabins. It’s hard to narrow it down! For couples that want a romantic getaway to Ohio’s Amish Country, I highly recommend The Lux – a tiny home hosted by Tiny Stays Berlin.

Romantic features of The Lux
The Lux offers so many fantastic features for couples traveling to Amish Country. Honestly, you may find it difficult to leave and explore the area!
My title “Sleep under the stars…” is possibly a little deceiving. This isn’t outdoor camping! No, the lofted bed offers a skylight with automatic shade. You can lay and bed and stargaze from the warmth of your cozy memory foam mattress. (This is my type of “camping”.) Sadly, we stayed on a night that was very overcast.

Another favorite of mine was the large jacuzzi tub with a rainfall shower! This is the most high-tech jacuzzi, with light settings, and bubbles or jets. The bathroom also offers a heated towel rack, trendy hexagon tiles, and a washer/dryer combo. The romance doesn’t stop there – check out the skylight above the bathtub. It’s just another way to enjoy your soak.

Continuing with the many “techy” features of the tiny home was a ceiling-mounted projection screen. Visitors can get cozy on the couch and then choose from their favorite streaming apps. This was the perfect way for these tired parents to get a moment to breathe.

Other awesome features of this cabin in Berlin, Ohio
If you hope to come back to The Lux and cook some of the farm-fresh vegetables or snack on local cheese, you’ll find a full kitchen. The electric induction cooktop is super handy for quickly heating up the kettle for pour-over coffee. The microwave doubles as a convection oven. We chose to order take-out from the nearby Mexican Grill, but I could have easily made a quick meal. The fridge is full-sized, too, so visitors don’t have to scrimp on bringing leftovers or local wines back to the tiny home. (Check out my favorite Amish Country restaurants on yodertoterblog).

Another favorite feature of this Berlin, Ohio cabin is the coffee bar with an attached seating area. We enjoyed watching the birds play in the bushes while we drank our morning joe.

The Lux offers many amenities that you just don’t find in a brick-and-mortar hotel. Who knew that a tiny home could pack so much romance and convenience in a small space?
The fine print:
Tiny Stays Berlin is located just off SR 39 a mile or so from downtown Berlin. Ohio. The address is 5221 OH- 39. The area is quiet, but there is another tiny home right next door. A fence on the deck offers some privacy, but you may see neighbors.
